Recessed electrical enclosures

Flush-fit enclosure solutions for walls and machinery

Keep access panels aligned with the surrounding surface while placing the enclosure body inside a wall cavity or machinery recess. Adjustable flange depth and mounting slots help accommodate site tolerances, improve passage safety, and make better use of available space.

Adjustable mounting details help the enclosure sit within the recess while keeping the access face aligned.

Designed for real openings

Geometry that supports a flush fit

Recessed installation depends on accurate flange depth and slot placement. The flange should seat flat against the inner face, with sufficient adjustment to account for tolerances in concrete, steel framing, or fabricated machine bases.

Without adjustment range, installers may need extra shimming or opening modifications. Setting flange depth in 5 mm increments and allowing ±15 mm movement at the side-return slots helps position the body inside the cavity while keeping the door flush with the finished surface.

01 / Depth control

Adjustable mounting flange

Set the flange depth in 5 mm increments to suit facade build-ups, wall cavities, and machinery recesses.

02 / Site tolerance

Adjustable card slots

Side-return slots allow ±15 mm movement after positioning the unit in the opening.

Installation outcome

Less projection into shared space

The enclosure body can sit inside a wall or large machinery recess, helping preserve usable floor space and reduce protrusions along walkways and passage routes.

Manufacturing capability

An in-house process chain for recessed units

Enclosuremfg manages cutting, forming, hardware installation, welding, and coating within one facility to support dimensional consistency and coordinated production.

Processing step Equipment used Typical tolerance / capacity Benefit to recessed projects
Laser cutting 12 kW and 6 kW fiber lasers ±0.2 mm on 6 m sheets Accurate flange outlines and slot patterns
CNC bending 35 t to 200 t multi-axis press brakes 6 m bend length Consistent return depths for flush fit
Hardware insertion Automatic clinching and servo tappers Up to 7 stations Pre-placed mounting points reduce field work
Welding Laser, MIG, TIG, and cold welding 24 welding stations Low heat input helps maintain flange flatness
Coating Automated powder-coating line 2500 × 6000 mm One-piece finish for large recessed frames

Laser cutting supports carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum enclosure parts.

Application fit

Where recessed enclosure designs are used

Specify a recessed configuration where clearance is limited, equipment must integrate with a surrounding frame, or projections could interfere with everyday access.

Industrial equipment

CNC centers and battery production lines where operator walkways need to remain clear.

Energy storage

BESS cabinets positioned against facility walls.

Telecom infrastructure

Roadside cabinets that must not extend beyond the curb line.

Repeat production

Typical orders range from 10 to 500 units, with recurring annual releases.

Quality assurance

Dimensional checks before coating

Six QA specialists support incoming material checks, first-article inspection of the formed flange, and 100% dimensional verification before powder coating.

Final fit check

Every recessed unit receives a final fit check against a master gauge that replicates the target wall or recess opening, helping protect fit expectations and delivery schedules.
