Thermal management built into the enclosure
Climate Controlled Enclosure Design for Extreme Temperature Applications
Protect precision electronics through daily temperature swings exceeding 50 °C. We engineer sheet metal enclosures with integrated thermal systems to maintain internal conditions between 15 °C and 35 °C and relative humidity below 60%, helping prevent condensation on circuit boards and extend component life.

Designed for real-world extremes
From desert daytime surface temperatures reaching 70 °C to arctic overnight lows of –40 °C, thermal components and enclosure structure are engineered together.
Why active thermal management
Stable conditions start with the enclosure design
Sensitive controllers, power converters, and battery management systems need stable thermal environments. Passive insulation alone cannot manage the loads created by severe heat and cold. Integrated air conditioning, liquid-to-air heat exchangers, semiconductor Peltier modules, or PTC heaters must be considered from the beginning of the sheet metal design.
Prevent condensation
Plan humidity control, condensate drainage, and sealed thermal penetrations to help protect sensitive circuit boards.
Engineer for the full load
Coordinate component mounting, airflow paths, insulation, and structural reinforcement as one build.
Thermal architecture
Match the thermal system to the operating conditions
Each configuration begins with a DFM review of the 3D model. Engineers check bend allowances around cutouts, weld locations that avoid thermal bridges, and mounting provisions for condensate drains.
Reject heat and solar gain
Pair roof-mounted air conditioners or large heat exchangers with reflective coatings and filtered intake louvers.
Maintain temperature in deep cold
Use PTC heater banks with redundant power feeds and insulated double-wall construction for sub-zero operation.
Combine active and passive control
Hybrid systems can use Peltier modules for fine control alongside passive phase-change material panels.
Engineering validation
The same 5-person engineering group that reviews the CAD also validates first-article parts against GD&T callouts.
In-house capabilities
Fabrication and integration on one site
Enclosuremfg processes all major steps internally, reducing hand-off delays and helping maintain dimensional accuracy across large panels carrying heavy thermal components.

Request for quote
Share your operating conditions and enclosure requirements
Submit your current 3D model or 2D layout, target internal temperature range, ambient extremes, and any required certifications. Within two business days, the engineering team returns a DFM memo, updated flat-pattern files, and a firm quotation covering material, fabrication, thermal component integration, and powder coat.
Work stays inside the 50-person facility, so lead times reflect actual machine capacity rather than subcontractor schedules.
